Choosing a Misting SystemChoosing the right high pressure misting or fogging system for your project starts with the understanding of what the system can do and the parameters of its operation.Incoming water at 40 to 100psi is pumped up to a pressure of 1000psi. The water is then sent from the pumping unit to the area requiring the mist or fog. The water is then dispersed through a unique nozzle that breaks down the water into tiny particulates - ranging from 2 to 10 microns. The fine mist or fog starts from the nozzle with a ½” diameter mist and will blow out to a 3 - 4 foot diameter and to a distance of 10 to 15 feet. The design of the misting system is as important as the equipment used to create the mist or fog. Each project may have a different design depending on the size and shape of the area to be misted and the requirements of the project.
